I was lucky enough to be invited to the TVNZ NZ Marketing Magazine Marketing Awards last week at the SKYCITY convention centre in Auckland. Hat tip to Graham Medcalf and his team who put on a fantastic event, it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening and my congratulations to all the winners.

McDonald?s Restaurants (NZ) walked away with both the Morton Estate Wines Retail Award and the Fairfax Supreme Award for marketing excellence, the M&C Saatchi Rookie Marketer of the Year Winner for 2008 was Marisa Govorko from DB Breweries, and TVNZ?s head of marketing and emerging business, Jason Paris, was awarded the ultimate accolade of Marketer of the Year.
TVNZ has really been pushing the envelope in the marketing and digital space so it was good to see some recognition for them; incidentally, Jason Paris is speaking at Digital Future Now next week at the SKYCITY Convention Centre. I will be heading along to see what he has to say, hopefully see you there!
